The WATHBA Stallions Cup Series sponsored January 22nd's Maiden Special Weight for fillies and mares four years and older, adding an additional $5,000 to the $8,800 purse. It was the RoseBrook-bred filly, RB Munchie (Sand Blastt x Hesster, by Dahess), that set the pace early under jockey Carly Hughes for owner/trainer Rhonda Tuley, and drew away by six for the win. Southern Bell MHF was second, and RB Fassynator took third.

The WATHBA Stallions Cup returns to Sam Houston this Saturday's Allowance Race ($10,000 plus $5,000 Added from WATHBA) for Four Year Old NW3 going 6 furlongs.
