Live race days for Retama Park's summer meet have been transferred to Sam Houston, whose meet began yesterday and runs through August 7, 2021. Today marks the first Arabian race of the meet, a $7,500 maiden claiming race for three year olds and up running five and one-half furlongs with a post time of 6:50 pm CT (Race 1).
In addition to solid overnight purses, the summer meet will offer lucrative stakes action, including the Texas Arabian Oaks (G3) and the Texas Arabian Derby (G3), both slated for Friday, August 6th, and both carrying purses of $30,000 Added.
