A frequent crowd favorite, the six year old chestnut gelding, Kissouur, cruised to victory in the $40,000 Arabian Claiming Championship Stake on Friday, under jockey Anardis Rodriguez for trainer Thunder Johnson and proud owner Susan Willis and Cindi Scharly. A gap of over 14 lengths between first and fourth gave Kissouur the decided win in a race that is the second richest horse race in the United States this year for Arabian horses. The race is for horses that have run in at least two claiming races of $10,000 or less in Texas in 2022.
Fleet De Sand was second. Proud American was third.
Final time for the 7 furlong event was 1:34.07. Congratulations to each of the winning connections!
