Full Field Goes to the Post in Saturday's HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Cup at Lone Star
The HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak races return once again to Lone Star this Saturday evening, November 13th with an Allowance race going 6 1/2 furlongs and will be offering $10,000 Added courtesy of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing Festival.
One of the most intriguing and competitive fields of the year head the post for the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Cup this Saturday at Lone Star, including two Darley Horse of the Year winners: Uptown Sandy Girl (named 2020 Darley Horse of the Year), bred and owned by Jon and Krista Henningsgard of Uptown Arabians, and Quick Sand AA (2018 Darley Horse of the Year), bred and owned by Joe & Betty Gillis of Allegro Arabians. Dance With Me BW, a 2020 nominee for Horse of the Year owned by Rosebrook Farms, also is entered and never willing to go down without a fight.
Dueling for the 2021 Darley 4 Year Old Colt are Hiab Al Zaman, bred and owned by Sue & Jim Meyer of Meyercrest Arabians, and Like Moulin Rouge, traine and owned by Ken Danyluk. Hiab Al Zaman has impressively garnered three wins in his last three starts, and seems to be improving with every race, while Like Moulin Rouge is looking to continue his four-race winning streak, with wins at both Arapahoe Park and Pleasanton.
RB Gaim Changer, owned by Morgan O'Brien, challenges with a kick when she is on her A-game. Madjikman is a Darley nominee that seems to be returning to strong form following illness. Uptown Lady Arabella – the Darley 3 Year Old Filly for 2020 – has come home second in her last two starts ... can she improve that record with a win in Saturday's race? And Highh Maintenance has won races this year in Texas.
Post time for the HH Sheikah Fatima Bint Mubarak Cup is 6:05 pm CT. Best of luck to all the entries and their connections.
