Firecracker Sprint & Distaff - July 28 at Retama Park

The Firecracker Sprint returns for another rendition on July 28, 2022 at Retama Park, offering both open and distaff options to provide valuable racing opportunities for 3 year olds. In preparation of the Firecracker, the Retama meet will offer a 3 year old restricted Maiden Special Weight going 5 1/2 furlongs on July 7th.

Additionally, the process for entering the Firecracker Sprint and Firecracker Distaff will transition into a pay-in scenario with the intention of an even larger purse.

However, this year, no pay-in is required to compete in the signature $15,000 event for 3 year olds.
